Telehealth Visits and Ongoing Covid-19 Epidemic
Due to the ongoing epidemic of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Sierra Spine Institute has elected to proceed with measures to protect the safety of our patients, our staff, and our community.

Due to the ongoing epidemic of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Sierra Spine Institute has elected to proceed with measures to protect the safety of our patients, our staff, and our community.

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 epidemic, encouraging trends in new cases in the region have allowed our facilities to resume surgical procedures. The situation continues to evolve fluidly, and we are maintaining best practices to keep our patients and employees as safe as possible.

We have resumed our surgical practice at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, Sutter Surgical Hospital North Valley, and West Coast Joint and Spine. Rigorous screening protocols have been instituted at all of these facilities in order to ensure that our patients and providers are kept safe during (and after) surgery.

Additionally, we have resumed seeing patients in our Roseville office. We continue to manage most of our practice through video and telephone encounters in order to minimize patient volume in the office. This allows us to continue evaluating urgent patient needs in the office, while observing social distancing guidelines. If you do have an appointment in the office, we do ask that you wear a mask and we will also conduct a temperature screen upon your arrival.

Our phone lines remain open 24/7. Please continue to reach out to us if anything regarding your treatment plan is unclear. In the meantime, please continue to do everything in your power to protect your safety and to minimize spread of the disease:

  • Practice social distancing. Avoid trips to restaurants, bars, and the community except for grocery shopping and essential medical appointments. Maintain a distance of 6 feet from other people in the community.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds.
  • If you are unable to avoid coughing, practice coughing into your elbow rather than your hand. Wash your hands afterward.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • If you feel sick, do not go to work or move around in the community. Stay at home.

Best wishes for your health and safety,

The staff of Sierra Spine Institute
