Dr. Hiatt is a Fellowship-trained and Board-Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon with an interest in minimally invasive techniques as well as deformity correction. His practice involves comprehensive care of both adult and adolescent patients, including treatment of degenerative spine conditions as well as extensive spine deformity corrections.
“I believe our utmost obligation to our patients is to provide them with the optimal level of care for their pathology and condition,” said Dr. Hiatt. “For many patients, this simply involves education, activity recommendations, and non-invasive modalities.
“When surgery is indicated,” he continued, “I believe in providing patients with an approach tailored to their specific disease and symptoms, which should be performed in a way that is as minimally invasive as possible to accomplish the goals of surgery.”
“Great medical facility and very professional staff. Dr. Hiatt was outstanding - the first doctor in five years to clearly identify my back problems and start successful treatment. Bueno!!!”
“Dr. Hiatt and all his staff including his hospital team were wonderful. I had severe back pain radiating down both my legs. I could not stand for long. He recommended a laminectomy and a fusion. The fusion I was not interested in and we decided to do the least invasive procedure. Six weeks post-surgery, I feel great. My incision is healing very well and part of it is hardly visible. I learned during my hospital stay that he is one of the best Spine Surgeons in this area. He takes on complicated cases and is well respected by everyone that knows him.”
“I was walking crooked, in chronic pain for over a year. Dr. Hiatt performed a 1 level fusion and the results are nothing short of amazing. I am very happy with the results! Dr. Hiatt was always helpful and caring - he would patiently answer all questions you have to make sure you feel comfortable about the choice you are making. Marcella, his assistant, was caring and friendly (I missed her when she wasn't there!).”
"Dr. Hiatt has improved my life by correcting my highly imperfect spine. He is a talented and very caring surgeon. Marcella his assistant is equally talented and caring. With their help, my life is slowing returning to normal. Now at 11 weeks post-op. I can't thank you both enough."
